Foundational Feng Shui

Foundational Feng Shui focuses on the core elements of your environment that most influence how your home feels and functions. By working with the natural flow of energy, this process helps create spaces that feel calm, supportive, and aligned with your intentions.

When the foundational energy of a home is aligned, clients often experience:

• A greater sense of calm and comfort in their space
• Improved focus and clarity
• Better rest and relaxation
• A renewed connection to their home environment

Small shifts in a space can create meaningful changes in how you experience daily life.

Each Foundational Feng Shui consultation begins with an exploration of your home and your intentions for the space. From there, I provide thoughtful recommendations designed to improve balance, support energy flow, and create a more harmonious environment.

Consultations are available both in person and virtually, allowing you to receive guidance and support wherever you are located.

Your consultation includes a Bagua overlay of your floor plan, a Bagua map, and a comprehensive typed report of our consultation.

Understanding Your Space’s Bagua Map

  • Bagua Map: Feng Shui begins with applying the Bagua, an energy map that divides a space into nine sections, each relating to different aspects of life (e.g., wealth, career, health, relationships).

  • Identify Key Areas: Overlaying the Bagua on your floor plan will help locate areas that correspond to specific areas in your life, including those areas that are compromised.

Decluttering and Organizing

  • Clear Clutter: Clutter is believed to block energy flow, so a Feng Shui consultation will emphasize decluttering, especially in key areas.

  • Organize with Intent: Keeping spaces organized, particularly in areas like the entryway, allows for smooth energy flow and can positively influence each area of your life.

Balancing the Five Elements

  • Incorporating the Elements: Feng Shui integrates five elements—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—each representing different energies and life aspects. In your consultation, you’ll consider placing objects that embody these elements in key Bagua areas to create harmony.

  • Using Color and Materials: Each element has corresponding colors and materials (e.g., green and plants for wood, red and candles for fire), which can be incorporated into the decor to balance energies.

Furniture Placement and Flow

  • Command Position: Furniture positioning, especially the bed, desk, and main seating area, should follow the "command position" principle, meaning you have a clear view of the entry without being directly in line with it.

  • Unblock Pathways: Keeping pathways clear, especially around entryways, is crucial to encourage free-flowing energy and create an inviting atmosphere.

Mindful Use of Decor and Enhancements

  • Mirrors and Reflective Surfaces: Mirrors can be used to expand spaces and reflect positive energy but should be positioned thoughtfully (e.g., not directly across from doors or beds).

  • Lighting: Good lighting energizes a space, so maximizing natural light or supplementing with soft, balanced artificial lighting is beneficial.

  • Symbolic Decor: Items with positive meanings or symbols (such as plants, artwork, or crystals) can enhance specific Bagua areas and reinforce intentions.

Personalization Based on Goals

  • Finally, a consultation will consider your specific goals, such as health, career, or relationships. Recommendations for decor, furniture arrangement, and colors are personalized to enhance the areas of life you want to focus on most.
